Meet the Team

 Roland Parker is the owner of Impress Computers. He has been involved in running his own computer company since 1994 and brings a wealth of knowledge in solving people’s computer problems. Let’s work together to find a common solution to your problem.

 Andrew Albee is the lead technician for Impress Computers. He has a degree in Electronics and has been in the IT Industry for over 20 years. He will patiently explain what is going wrong with your computer and how to fix it.

 Roy Du Puis started with Impress Computers in 2007. He brings years of experience in computers. Come in and meet with Roy in our store and discuss how we can solve your computer problems.

 Len Tiernay has worked for Impress Computers since 2000. He is the lead laptop screen repair specialist. Len is also our gregarious sales manager, who specializes in customer care. Companies both large and small depend on Len to take care of all their orders from high end servers and workstations to toner and ink.

History
Formed in 1994 by Roland and Mandy Parker, Impress succeeded in rapidly gaining market share of the ever expanding consumables market. With the backing of the Worlds largest magnetic media manufacturer, 3M, and German based KMP Printechnik, Impress was able to penetrate the market from all sides, supplying corporates, computer dealers, as well as the retail sector.






















In June 1996, (at the same time that 3M decided to spin off their Data Storage Division to form Imation), Impress tech officially opened their Bulawayo Branch in the new Fidelity Life Centre. Expansion in the Bulawayo market was rapid, due mainly to company policy of good management, location, reasonable prices and correct stocking levels.




















In 1997 Impress decided to expand into the remanufacturing business under the guidance of KMP Printechnik. Within a few months the company had set up the plant with state-of-the-art air purification units and test printers. This was shortly followed by an ink jet remanufacturing plant with electronically controlled Ultra-Pro filling stations being imported from the States.

From here the Impress range of cartridges were born. In 1998 Impress Tech opened the new 4000sq. Ft factory in Graniteside to handle manufacturing, stock and central dispatch.






















With more space now available to Impress Tech, a ribbon manufacturing plant was purchased towards the end of 1998, and in January 1999 the new plant was commissioned. Using the latest ultrasonic welders and nylon stuffers Impress Tech is able to manufacture both new and respooled ribbons to international standards. Using electronically controlled methods, the exact amount of nylon, as per original specifications, is used. The Nylon is then sealed using an ultrasonic welder which produces seamless welds.

The Impress range of printing cartridges and ribbons save both the environment and cuts printing costs by up to 70 %. There is no compromise on quality, however and Impress offers a 100 % no quibble warranty on all Impress products, covering both the cartridge and the printer against any faults.



















In 2002 Impress invested in the latest Ink Jet processing equipment, the Work Station 12. Capable of processing up to 250 cartridges per hour, it cleans, drains, fills, then pressurizes up to 12 cartridges simultaneously. The machine will speed up the processing of ink cartridges and ensure that only the highest quality will be produced.



After a great deal of demand Impress opened their very popular Arundel Branch In Mount Pleasant in September 2002. Catering more for the SOHO market, but also servicing the mushrooming business parks in the northern suburbs, the Arundel Branch offers everything from Games, Web Cams, CD Players and Cell Phones, to printers, computers and cartridges.

Customers are serviced by an efficient and motivated external sales force, as well as an internal telesales department and counter sales staff; thereby covering all aspects of customer service. All Sales Reps have cell phones thereby ensuring that customers can always maintain that personal contact with the company.

In 2003 Impress opened their new branch in Houston. Due to the size of the market Impress has invested in the latest CK 12 ink jet remanufacturing machine as well as the recently introduced colour remanufacturing equipment. This means that Impress USA will be able to offer customers a wide selection of HP, Canon, Dell and Lexmark remanufactured cartridges in both colour and black. They are registered dealers for Dell, HP, Canon, IBM, Lexmark, Toshiba, Kingston, Linksys, Netgear, Dlink, Trendnet, MSI, AVG and Symantec.
