Roland Parker, CEO of Impress Computers got to meet up with legendary George Foreman recently and got to learn that perseverance and humbleness were the two biggest things that George learned from his life.
George rose to fame relatively quickly, but had come from a tough, poor back ground. The fame did go to his head, and George had to learn some hard lessons in life when he ran out of money and ended up preaching on street corners. George learned humbleness and kindness from some people who showed him kindness when he was down on his luck.
Perseverance and consistency, as well as a strong faith are the most important factors in our personal and business lives and even though we can’t all be World Champion boxers, we can be the best at what we do.
Roland has applied those principals to both his home and work life, when he made the big move from Zimbabwe to Texas in 2003 with his wife and 2 kids.
