Snip & Sketch, formerly known as Screen Sketch, is a program that allows you to take screenshots, or clippings, of the active windows. This snipping feature is integrated into Windows and can be activated by using the Win+Shift+S keyboard combination.
While this new version has the name “Snip & Sketch” displayed in the title bar of the app, the Microsoft Store is still promoting it under the name Screen Sketch. So it us unknown if this is the final name or will be reverted back at some point to the original Screen Sketch name.
The only noticeable change is the ability to delay a snip up to 3 or 10 seconds. These options will be available under the New menu and are called “Snip in 3 seconds” or “Snip in 10 seconds” as shown below.
When I tested this feature, I expected a countdown to be overlayed on the screen to indicate when the snip would occur. Unfortunately, this was not present and will hopefully be added in future versions.
