It appears that a recent update to CrowdStrike’s Falcon Sensor software has caused widespread issues, resulting in Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) on Windows-based systems. Here are some key points:
- The Problem: CrowdStrike’s Falcon Sensor software, designed to protect computer systems from cyber attacks, has inadvertently caused critical disruptions. Users worldwide have reported BSOD errors after the update.
- Affected Systems: The impact has been significant, affecting TV networks, 911 call centers, financial institutions, and even the Paris Olympics. Computers in various countries, including India, South Africa, and Thailand, experienced sudden crashes.
- Workaround: CrowdStrike has acknowledged the issue and provided a workaround for affected users
The good news for Impress Customers is that we do not use Crowdstrike and you should not be affected.

You should not be affected but if you do experience any issues our team is ready to apply the recommended fix.
This is also affecting Logmein.

Update – We are impacted by the ongoing global outage at one of our third-party providers. Our engineers are actively working on a workaround that third-party providers have suggested and are engaged with the service providers for the fix.
